Confirmandees Embrace their Call to Discipleship!
The sacrament of Confirmation deepens and strengthens the grace received in Baptism, marking the recipient’s full initiation into the Catholic Church. Through the anointing with chrism oil and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, Confirmation empowers the faithful to live as witnesses of Christ, embracing their call to discipleship.
It bestows the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit—wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord—to guide and strengthen their spiritual journey. Confirmation seals the individual with the Holy Spirit, fortifies them for spiritual challenges, and renews their commitment to the Church’s mission of spreading faith and love.
Our Confirmation Program
Confirmation represents the fullness of Christian Initiation, and our candidates begin their two-year preparation in the ninth grade as part of our ongoing religious education program. Confirmation Preparation classes include study, service, retreat and worship. For more information please see our Religious Education page.

The Bishop’s Office sets the date for confirmation, which usually commences in the Spring. Our next confirmation date is to be announced.
If you are an adult Catholic and need to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, please register in our OCIA program.
