Our parish is enriched not only by ministries within our walls but also by wider apostolates grounded in community, formation and service. These non‐parish apostolates allow parishioners to participate in vibrant spiritual families, rooted in tradition and fellowship, while maintaining their home base here. They build up faith, leadership and mission in diverse ways—inviting you to explore where you might belong.
Below are some of the non-parish apostolates associated with our parish community. If you feel called to connect, please contact the leaders listed.
Cursillo / Ultreya
Leader: Vicki Minervini
Email: vickiminervini@mail.com
This apostolate continues the rich movement of Cursillo Movement—a short course in Christian living—providing a method of continued formation and fellowship for Christians who wish to grow in their faith and witness. Through weekend retreats, ongoing ultreya (gatherings), and small-group support, participants deepen their relationship with Christ, serve their community and support one another in living the Gospel in everyday life.
Lay Augustinian
Leader: Russ Summerton
Phone: (239) 574-0020
The Lay Augustinian Fraternities invite men and women to live the spirit of St. Augustine in the world: a life of community, interior conversion and active witness. Members commit to prayer, community gatherings, and service, following the Augustinian charism of “unity and love”. If you seek a deeper integration of spirituality and everyday life in an Augustinian-inspired community, this may be the place for you.
Redeemer Associates
Leader: Barbara M.
Email: bmeiderdrut@hotmail.com
The Redeemer Associates offer a lay community formed around the spirituality of The Redeemer and the mission of bringing Christ’s redemption into the world. Through prayerful reflection, service projects and communal support, members share in Christ’s redemptive work in their homes, workplaces and beyond. Reach out to Barbara for more information about how to participate.
Secular Franciscan
Leader: Doug Elliott
Phone: (585) 370-6178
The Secular Franciscan Order invites lay men and women, committed to their secular vocation, to follow the example of St. Francis of Assisi in living the Gospel in everyday life. Members gather in fraternity, embrace simplicity and foster care for creation, peace and solidarity with the poor. If you sense a call to live Franciscan spirituality in your daily path, Doug is available to discuss the journey.
