Sacraments

The Catholic Church recognizes seven sacraments instituted by Christ. These sacred signs communicate God’s grace and accompany the faithful through every stage of life.

Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation
Sacraments of Healing: Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick
Sacraments of Service: Matrimony, Holy Orders

Baptism

Baptism is the foundation of Christian life and the gateway to all other sacraments. Through water and the Word, we are freed from sin, reborn as children of God, and welcomed into the Church.

Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation offers forgiveness of sins and restores our relationship with God. Through confession and absolution, we experience God’s mercy and healing.

Holy Eucharist

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. In receiving the Body and Blood of Christ, we are nourished spiritually and united more deeply with Him and His Church.

Confirmation

Confirmation strengthens the grace received at Baptism. Through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live our faith boldly and serve as witnesses of Christ.

Matrimony

Matrimony is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman. It is ordered toward the good of the spouses and the gift of new life, reflecting Christ’s love for the Church.

Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament provides spiritual strength and healing to those who are seriously ill. Through prayer and anointing, the Church entrusts the sick to the care of Christ.

Holy Orders

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which men are ordained to serve the Church as deacons, priests, and bishops, continuing the mission of Christ.
