Welcome to Saint Katharine Drexel Parish
The St. Katharine Drexel Youth Ministry Program is an extension ministry of the Religious Education Program. Students in grades 6-12 gather for faith formation, fellowship, service, and worship specifically in Eucharistic Adoration. Whether you're looking to supplement your child's elementary faith formation, or continue it after receiving Confirmation, the SKD Youth Ministry Program has a place for every young person in the parish.
The core of our program is FaceTime Friday. FaceTime Friday is on the first and third Friday of each month from 6-9pm in the parish hall.
Doors open at 5:30. Pizza and desserts are served along with a healthy dose of fun games, Catechesis, and the high point of our meetings- meeting our Lord face-to-face in Eucharistic Adoration.
We also participate in a number of service opportunities throughout the year that help students to fulfill volunteer hours for school requirements.
Other regular youth group programs include:
Guys, God, & Gatorade- This boys only event combines intense cross training with challenging discussion from the Gospel.
Young Women of Grace- Girls only gather to discuss the challenges of being authentically Catholic and authentically feminine in a world that fails to promote true Christian values.
Upper Room- Highschool students are invited to attend Mass, receive the Sacrament of Confession, or pray the Rosary together before heading over to the Faith Formation building for an evening of fellowship including video games, movies, board games, and just plain lounging around.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is the faith formation of those desiring to enter into full communion in the Catholic faith through
The Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist
This experience is a journey in our faith and relationship with God. Through Scripture, study of the Church’s teaching, prayer and discussion, those participating will grow in an understanding of the Catholic faith.
During this time the Parish family prays for them and shares this journey through example and coming together as a community of faith to celebrate the Sunday liturgy.
The Saturday before Easter, those catechumens (being baptized) and the candidates will joyfully enter into full communion through the waters of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
The journey does not end here. Our faith journey never ends. We need to continually grow in our relationship with God and an understanding of our faith. Our Baptism calls us into a life with Christ. We are to be His light to the world and instruments of His peace.
If you know of anyone who desires to enter into our Catholic Faith and would like to know more about the RCIA process, or if you are already a Catholic and wish to learn more about your faith, please contat the Faith Formation Office 283-0525.
